Safety-Critical Embedded SW Laboratory
With the aim at generating valuable outcomes in terms of safety-critical and adaptability (stringent execution times and security levels) TCPsi built up this laboratory where we research, develop and test the different solutions appropriate to the user requirements.
TCPsi has state-of-the art technology in terms of hardware and software to perform innovative research and development on safety-critical SW: COTS boards and other hardware components and commercial third-party SW to cover all the project life-cycle.
The hardware components covers a wide spectrum of platforms: regular PCs, Industrial PCs, specific devices (e.g. Time Code Generators), specific boards (IRIG-B, GAISLER PENDER LEON, ...)The Software components are selected to fit the existing hardware components: regular OS (Windows OS family, Linux OS distributions), POSIX-compliant Real-Time OS (QNX, RTEMS), field buses drivers, simulation frameworks, development integral frameworks.
The outcomes are validated in-situ by integrating SW modules on specific HW by using these laboratory resources in real-time.
TCPsi expertises system modelling by using Matlab/Simulink tools. The results are integrated and validated in real hardware targets like the GAISLER PENDER LEON board.
This Laboratory supports other more specific laboratories of the division, such as UAVLab and UGVLab.
