TCP was established in 1993 by a group of professionals coming from the Information and Communications Technologies field. Convinced of the key role that technology was going to play in the fast changing and extremely competitive markets to which we were headed, they decided to provide the most advanced -though reliable- solutions from a new and flexible organization. TCP Sistemas e Ingeniería was therefore born to provide a high quality, customer oriented service, from an organisation based on the technical excellence.

Company evolution

From the initial team, the company has been incorporating progressively new professionals, at a growing pace. They currently add up to 250 employees.

The company has systematically invested in incorporating key selected technologies and in training and qualifying its staff to master them. It has gained a very good reputation as provider of network management systems for the major Spanish telecom operator. It was one of the first companies to provide advanced business solutions and is currently leader in workflow systems integration. The software engineering and tools section has recently developed and sells a requirements engineering CASE tool that places it as leader among the Spanish tool builders.

For achieving this, the company regularly launches R&D projects, often based on EU or national investment programmes, but sometimes based entirely on internal R&D funding, whenever the projects are considered strategic.

Thes projects serve two purposes: to build new products; and to incorporate new technologies and train our teams in them.

Cooperative international projects in which the company participates are in most cases lead by it, in order to obtain the maximum benefits. Three product lines have been derived from those projects, in the fields of network's management, distributed operation systems and CASE tools.

The company has maintained its independence along this evolution. The management team holds all the company shares. This also guarantees the full company alignment along a coherent and long term strategy, but also the flexibility to adapt to the changing market and technological drives.

The Team

For sustaining its growth, TCP combines hiring experienced professionals with the regular incorporation of recently graduated students that enter a trainee's program combining the instruction in advanced subjects with intensive practice in real projects. A significant part of the people participating in the trainee´s program is hired later on.
All employees and managers participate in regular training courses to maintain and enhance their skills. This has allowed the company to sustain a fast growth rate, while providing a high quality level on all its services and products.
